Both North Lane and Gumley Road will be closed on Monday 11th January 2021 for road repairs.

Please see maps for location of road closure and suggested diversions.

Foxton Parish Council will now start publishing notices of Planning Applications for Foxton Parish online.

We receive notices from Harborough District Council and will be signposting them in the 'Live Planning' area of this website.

Notifications will also be sent via the Foxton Village Community Facebook group.

Foxton Parish Council noted on the village Facebook page that several disturbing incidents were being reported by villagers. There are five:

1) vandalisation / removal of signage at Softwell Lane Nature Reserve and nearby

2) fly tipping of waste in the Baptist Cemetery

3) anti-semitic behaviour of youngsters at the RM Hall / play area

All 14 county waste sites back in business

All 14 county waste sites back in business

Leicestershire County Council's Loughborough and Somerby recycling and household waste sites will re-open this weekend – meaning that all 14 in the county are now open to the public.

Nine of the sites will be open five days a week – the same number of days as before the coronavirus pandemic disrupted the service.

Excellent contributions for HELP AT HOME recognised

Locals may recall Main Street resident Brian Weller set up a plant stall to raise money for the HELP AT HOME initiative - which was kicked off by Sam Smith, Claire and Dan at the Black Horse and supported by the Foxton Parish Council.

Thanks to everyone who contributed plants and made purchases. Brian managed to raise over £150 for the cause. Well done Brian!!
