Bus Services 'Kept' for time being

"As part of the county council's Passenger Transport Policy and Strategy, a number of subsidised bus services within the Hinckley and Market Harborough areas, as well as other routes in the county, were due for review. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been agreed to pause the project for the time being. We've taken this decision to end uncertainty among bus users and service operators. Another factor behind the decision is that the detailed passenger analysis which is used to inform the policy would not, at this current time, provide an accurate reflection of the transport needs of a particular area. We will keep people fully informed when a decision is taken to resume the PTPS project reviews. Please note, members of the public will also be notified about the pause to this project. If you have any further enquiries, please email ptps@leics.gov.uk. "

What does this mean? For now, all 'reviews' (ie. risk of closure) of public transport passenger services for the region have been put on hold.
